A giant tug-of-war, interviews, and more!

Naha Great Tug-of-War

Earlier this month I went to the Naha Great Tug-of-War Festival. Here is a photo of one end of the rope before the event.

Here is how the rope looked after the event, with both ends hooked together.

And a video of the end of the tug of war contest.

It was a lot of fun to be in the crowd for this annual event. At the end we got to take home sections of the rope for luck.

False Flag Interviews and Chats

Have you read FALSE FLAG yet? For more information on why I wrote the book and why the subject matter is so important to me, listen to this podcast I did with Kobo Writing Life.

And if you haven't watched it yet, don't miss this chat with Jayne Ann Krentz and Megan Chance. We all enjoyed this conversation so much!

Nicol and Greg Double Feature!

When you share both narrators with an author you adore, does it make your books cousins? Siblings? Regardless, I’m thrilled to be related by narrators to Manda Collins!

Enjoy 18+ hours of romance and thrills in two new releases narrated by Nicol Zanzarella and Greg Tremblay!

GHOST ME MAYBE by Manda Collins

A pretty librarian inherits a library and falls for the sexy architect who believes he should be the rightful owner in this enemies-to-lovers romcom.

Librarian Callie Jameson is floored when she learns she's to inherit the historic library on Petite Bois Island. All she knows about the barrier island off the coast of Louisiana is what her benefactor and beloved patron, Khaki Boudreaux, has told her about it and the beautiful life—and love— she once had there.

Seeing this opportunity as a chance to start over, Callie packs up her tortoiseshell cat, Stella, and heads south. But the moment she sets foot in the beautiful old building, she encounters an all-too-handsome tenant who claims the library belongs to him. So much for southern hospitality . . .

Trey LeBlanc spent his happiest summers with his Aunt Khaki on Petit Bois Island and has been living at the library while he renovates the old building. After all the effort he's put into this place, he can't understand why his aunt cut him out of the will. Now he'll have to convince Callie and her very opinionated cat to sell him the cherished property.

But then strange things start to happen around the library, and Trey hopes Callie will just get scared off by the "ghosts" haunting the place. When he realizes these aren't just neighborhood kids pulling pranks, however, but rather a dangerous scheme to get rid of the woman he's beginning to fall for, he'll do anything to keep her safe in his arms forever . . .

FALSE FLAG by Rachel Grant

An archaeologist risks everything to stop a disinformation podcaster from using his influence to incite violence in the latest thrilling installment in USA Today Bestselling author Rachel Grant’s award-winning Evidence: Under Fire series.

Staci Allen has finally landed the job that will help her finish her dissertation, but it comes with a major hitch: her new boss is a famous pseudoarchaeology podcaster, and she intends to use the upcoming Pacific Northwest expedition to debunk his theories and end his grift. But first, she has a pre-wedding celebration to attend, where she crosses paths with Navy SEAL Jake Burns—a huge fan of the podcaster.

Jake might be on her team in the paintball war, but he’s definitely the enemy. She can enjoy his pretty face and even the dangerous attraction he triggers with his cocky attitude, but when the weekend-long party is over, she will step into a world that places them firmly on opposite sides.

The job proves to be more dangerous than Staci prepared for. Surrounded by a hostile expedition team and trapped on a private island with a podcaster who will do anything to convince his followers his fake history is real, she remains determined to see the job through. Still, nothing prepares her for coming face-to-face with the SEAL she’s trying to forget. As the only man who could infiltrate the team, he could be her unasked-for backup. But the question remains, whose side is Jake really on?

Is she following a path of redemption or an enemy’s revenge? A crime reporter’s traumatic past comes back to haunt her in a twisting novel of lies, betrayals, and killer secrets.

Investigative crime journalist Signe Gates’s life became a nightmare the day she was kidnapped and drugged. After forty-eight missing hours, she woke to a blur of unsettling memories and a warning from her unknown abductors: tell anyone what happened and they’ll die. They’ve already proved they will deliver on that threat.

For two years, Signe has been haunted by what she knows she did and terrified of what else could be buried in her memories. Then an informant tells her two men recently found dead in Yosemite are connected to her missing hours, and more answers await her in the park’s backwoods. But she must hurry. Desperate to know who targeted her and why, she has no choice but to embark on the dangerous journey.

With a seasoned hiker acting as her guide, Signe ventures into the wilderness to solve a crime, get justice for the crimes committed against her, and overcome her demons. If only she could trust the man leading her into the backwoods…

Because with each new suspicion, deliverance is starting to look more and more like a trap.
