April Showers: this month's freebie ☔️ ARC contest 🌨 + more 🌈

Published almost 2 years ago • 2 min read

April has been wild weather-wise in the Pacific Northwest. We've had drenching rain, pounding hail, and several snowstorms (that thankfully didn't stick). This is my 25th April in the Seattle area, and I can only think of about four times when it has snowed in April at sea level. Lucky for me, I work from home and have been snug in my office with my little heater as the weather sorts itself out.

What have I been working on, you might wonder... Well Toni Anderson and I are cooking up a BIG treat for you all in May, so be on the lookout for that in my next newsletter.

INTO THE STORM is off to my editor! We're in the final stages, and I've almost finalized the cover. This book is pretty much the perfect blend of both my Flashpoint series with the high-octane military thriller element and the Evidence series with the archaeology-influenced action and romance. 😍

The Ukrainian-style Easter Egg Auction raised over $1600 for Ukrainian Refugees with direct donations to UNHCR! Even though the auction is over, you can still donate. Every dollar helps people in desperate need.

DANGEROUS GROUND IS FREE FOR PRIME MEMBERS!

Did you know that every month, dozens of excellent books are FREE for Amazon Prime Members? This is one of my favorite ways to sample new authors, and I'm thrilled DANGEROUS GROUND has been included in this special promotion by Amazon! If you are an Amazon Prime member all you have to do is add the book to your library. Once the book is in your library, you can purchase the audiobook for only $1.99.

NOTE: because the publisher is an imprint of Amazon Publishing, the ebook is only available at Amazon.

Kimberly Kincaid ARC Contest

Kimberly Kincaid is giving away 10 eARCs to my VIP subscribers! Be among the first to read Kimberly's upcoming release, THE ROGUE.

The scars that cut deepest are the ones beneath the surface…

Detective Addison Hale is a survivor. The armor she uses to hide her scars keeps her safe on the job, and holding people at arm’s length is a small price to pay when there’s a stalker on the loose.

Especially since he’s after the sister of impulsive firefighter Ryan Dempsey, who she had a scorching-hot fling with two months ago.

The fling she can’t forget, even though she knows how dangerous it is to get close. To feel.

Ryan will do anything to keep his sister safe, even if it means he has to play by Addison’s rules. But when the stalker sets his sights on the smart, sexy detective, Ryan finds he’ll do anything for her, including risk his life to fight at her side.

But this enemy is as cunning as he is deadly and he’ll stop at nothing to get what he wants.

Addison and Ryan must outrun the shadows and outwit a killer.

No matter the cost.

Later this month, my husband and I are going to New Orleans. I've been there before, but it was more than 3 decades ago. We have a bunch of historic sites we want to see, and my list of restaurants is, admittedly, already long. But I'd love to hear from readers - what is, in your opinion, the one place that is not to be missed in NOLA? I can't promise to reply to every email I get, but know that every recommendation is appreciated! And I will be sure to share my favorites after the trip. 😍 In...

Yesterday was Pi Day, today is the Ides of March, and Sunday is St. Patrick's Day, so naturally tomorrow, the one day of the four that doesn't have its own name is the day we're having family over for a dinner of Caesar salad, Irish lasagne (made with potatoes instead of noodles--it's really delicious) and...cake, not pie, because my daughter made this Ides of March cake on pie day. At least it's circular and not square... 😂 I feel like we need to cut this cake with a sword. I think we have...
